It's a cabinet that sits on top of your standard PAX units to take the wardrobe up to ceiling height. IKEA doesn't make these — it's a Customea exclusive. Closing that top gap is the single biggest difference between a PAX wardrobe and a proper built-in.

Yes. Extension cabinets come in the same four finishes as our PAX doors — painted 2pac, woodgrain laminate, NAVURBAN and matte laminate — in the same profile and colour. Order the extensions in the finish you're using for the rest of the wardrobe and the whole run reads as one piece.

Yes. They're sized to sit directly on top of IKEA's standard PAX carcasses, so there's no special framing involved. Most customers use a professional installer, who fits them like any other cabinet and door.
