How does the sample credit work? +
When you place your full door order, email or message us your sample order number and we'll credit the cost of your finish samples back. Credit is on request, not automatic. It applies to finish samples ($5–$10) only — not full-size samples. A minimum door order value applies.
How long do samples take to arrive? +
Ready-to-ship samples (all finish samples and most full-size samples) arrive in a few days, depending on your location. Painted full-size samples in a custom colour are made to order and take around 4 weeks. The product card tells you which is which.
How many samples should I order? +
Most customers order 2–3 finish samples to compare side-by-side. If you're torn between two materials (say, painted 2pac and matte laminate), get one of each. If you've already chosen a finish but want to confirm the profile, a single full-size sample is enough.
Can I see the samples in person before ordering? +
Yes — our Tempe showroom at 600 Princes Highway has every finish and profile on display. Open Monday to Saturday, 10am–4pm. No appointment required, and there's free parking.
What do I do after my samples arrive? +
Once you've chosen your finish, you have three ways to order: (1) Get an instant quote if you have an IKEA plan, (2) add doors directly in the shop using your IKEA item sizes, or (3) purchase our build my cart service if you want a hand with planning. When you order, send us your sample order number and we'll credit the cost back.
Will my screen show the actual colour? +
Honestly, no. Screen calibration varies and finishes look different under different lighting. The whole reason samples exist is that no online image is a substitute for the real thing in your space. Order the sample — it's worth it.
